Trailing Space in Searches

How trailing spaces affect searches and how to avoid them.

When using Blink to search for bookings or vehicles (by REGO, VIN, stock number, or PO number), a trailing space at the end of your search term can cause inaccurate results. If there is a space after the REGO number, for example, "CMA33R ", the search may show all bookings instead of the specific one you are looking for.

How to Avoid Trailing Space in Your Searches:

1. Check for Extra Spaces:
   When searching, make sure there are no extra spaces at the end of your search term, such as after a REGO, VIN, stock number, or PO number.

2. Remove Trailing Space:
   If you accidentally copy details from an external source like an email or Excel sheet, check for trailing spaces and remove them.

3. Search Again:
   After removing any extra spaces, your search will show more accurate results, helping you find the specific booking or vehicle you're looking for.
