Removing a Multi-Leg After Initial Collection

If you've added a multi-leg to a booking after the vehicle was collected, you can still remove the intermediate stop and revert the booking back to its original flow — even after the initial collection has occurred.

This can be useful when a planned depot stop is no longer needed, or if a multi-leg was added in error.

Note: This only applies if the second leg has not yet been allocated or collected. If the second leg has been allocated, please un-allocate it first.


How it works

When a multi-leg is created on a collected leg, Blink automatically:

  • Replaces the original delivery location with a depot or intermediate stop

  • Creates a new leg from the depot to the original delivery location

This structure remains editable until before the first leg is delivered and when the second leg is not allocated.


Steps to Remove the Multi-Leg

  1. Go to the Dispatch screen

    • Open the dispatch panel and filter for the booking in question

    • Locate the second leg (showing leg 2/2)

  2. Open the Multi-Leg window

    • On the left-hand side, click the MULTI button next to the second leg

    • This opens the same multi-leg editor used when adding the stop

  3. Delete the multi-leg

    • In the editor, click Delete

    • The system will:

      • Remove the intermediate stop

      • Merge the two legs back into a single leg to the original delivery address

  4. Confirm the change

    • You have now only the original leg, as it was prior to multi-legging with the collection kept

Troubleshooting

  • Can’t see the MULTI button?

    • Check that the second leg hasn’t already been allocated to a run. You can only remove multi-legs if the follow-up leg is still unassigned.

  • Multi-leg window not opening?

    • Ensure you're on the correct dispatch view and that the booking hasn't been completed.
