Problem
One of the biggest carriers in Australia, Carways had operated for years without a mobile app solution in the field. This saw operations staff printing out physical copies of TMS-allocated manifests to drivers that were manually filled out as they complete their collections and deliveries. Staff were then entering these details back into the carrier TMS after the manifests were complete.
These manual systems led to more effort and more cost, and left more room for mistakes as they double-handed data.
Solution
Together with the Carways team, we integrated the Blink platform with Carways’ TMS - Translogix. This enabled the Carways fleet to use the Blink Driver companion app.
Blink identified key Carways drivers for the initial rollout, after which we developed multiple functionality customisations to the app before we rolled the solution out to the entire fleet.
Impact
- Carways has been able to adopt the benefits of Blink Carrier and Driver app through the integration with their legacy TMS, Translogix
- The integration caused minimal disruptions to current Carways operations who have close to 100 drivers and move over 5,000 vehicles every month
